Multiphase Pump User Roundtable – Europe
The Multiphase Pump User Roundtable (MPUR) has developed an industry leading formula for sharing learnings and generating discussion exclusively on topics associated with multiphase pumping. Join us for the 5th MPUR-Europe as Dr. Stuart L Scott returns to Chair the event he founded. We invite you to benefit from the exceptionally strong program developed by our Distinguished Advisory Board.
What is MPUR? MPUR was created to foster the sharing of experiences and emergent ideas in multiphase pumping. MPUR is the only event solely focused on multiphase pumping. This year’s MPUR-Europe has a strong “end-user” emphasis with a Distinguished Advisory Board comprised of companies such as Shell, Statoil, Total and Woodside. The event is based on end-user presentations and features strong end-user leadership in discussion and technology panel sessions. Historically, our MPUR events are the first to receive historic case histories and the latest field-trail and testing results; often years before they appear in oil & gas conferences and journals. MPUR-Europe is supported by the leading multiphase pump equipment suppliers whose active involvement brings discussion on the latest emerging technologies. Over the past two decades, MPUR has been held in multiple locations and has grown to become an elite event in the ever-evolving multiphase pump industry.
Who Attends MPUR? MPUR is attended by engineers, managers, researchers and industry thought-leaders in the upstream oil & gas business. Typically, attendance is split between end-users and equipment suppliers and researchers. The event is of interest to engineering disciplines such as production, process, facilities, rotating equipment, electrical and SURF. Due to the strategic nature of the presentations and discussion, MPUR is well attended by development/operations managers, project team leaders and members of integrated development/venture teams including reservoir engineers.
What is Special About MPUR-Europe? MPUR-Europe has a focus on applications in Europe, Africa and the Mideast while also providing an opportunity to communicate important advances from the USA Gulf of Mexico and Unconventionals. The event features pumping technologies related to seafloor, offshore-topside, arctic and onshore. For 2017, we will also feature a tour of the AkerSolutions Tranby facility to directly view how subsea pumps are tested. Also a pre-event short-course, entitled “DeepDive – Tiebacks with Seafloor Pumping” will provide in-depth training on multiphase pumps and their expanding use in tieback developments.
